8th Cantonese Mansion 粤菜酒家

This bustling Cantonese restaurant has one of the city’s cleanest, healthiest-looking seafood tanks, filled with fat rosy fish – all swimming right-side up – and giant crabs that look succulent enough to be eaten alive. Authentic, well-executed Cantonese dishes.

Pricey but yummy

The restaurant makes a very posh appearance with few tables and plushy seats serving the sashimi in huge ice filled bowls that blink and smoke. The food was really good, but the portions are small, so if you have an average western appetite you might not want to listen to the waitress' tips on the size of your order. Also the fact that if you order two beer they bring one to the table to present it to you like a wine bottle then pour a little and take it away again, standing in the room getting warm together with the second bottle is kind of odd. The service is good though, so you glass will never be empty. Four stars because the food is really good, but portions are small and quite pricey.
