Review of Daskalides Belgian Chocolate Bar
The location is out-of-the-way, but it's worth the trip for the sheer variety of chocolate desserts and quality ice cream at extremely reasonable prices.
The staff are unfailingly polite and friendly, and very helpful.
The food is good -- several steps above the usual bar/diner fare and good value for money -- but the real reasons to visit are the assortment of Belgian beers and the fabulous array of chocolate desserts. The whisky mousse biscuits, the ginger ice cream with dark chocolate sauce, and the dark chocolate muffins all deserve special praise.
It's an informal, cozy, and family-friendly place -- why should fine chocolate be restricted to snooty, overpriced establishments? I've had enough of restaurants that charge too much and provide minuscule portions and mediocre desserts. This place delivers the goods -- I was in chocoholic heaven! I can't wait to visit again.

Review of Daskalides Belgian Chocolate Bar
Some fantastic desserts, some not-so-good desserts, less than mediocre food, hideous decor, not-near-anything location, and terrible service.
Go there to pick up the Double Chocolate Muffins and a possibly few other dessert items. But skip the sit down meal as there is no reason to waste your time or money eating at a Johnny Rockets look-alike with a wait staff that accidentally serves you sample drinks left out at the bar or otherwise ignores you.
